While most Bachelor exes probably couldn’t stand to be in the same room as each other, it’s no sweat for Abbie Chatfield and Matt Agnew!

Three years after coming runner-up on Matt’s season of The Bachelor, Abbie had a chance run-in with the astrophysicist at her local gym.

Not only did Matt meet Abbie’s new partner Konrad Bien-Stephens, but he was also able to have a cuddle with their new dog, Marco.

Matt took to Instagram to share a selfie with Abbie and Konrad’s new rescue dog Marco.

Proving there’s absolutely no bad blood between them, Matt took to Instagram to document the encounter.

The 34-year-old shared a selfie with Abbie and Konrad’s rescue cocker spaniel Marco, along with the caption: “Look who I bumped into down at my gym.”

Matt tagged Abbie and Konrad, prompting the I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! winner to share the sweet post.

“Celeb friends vibes,” Abbie wrote on her re-share.

In November last year, Bachelor fans speculated that Abbie and Matt could have rekindled their 2019 romance after spotting a sweet interaction on Instagram between the pair.

Abbie announced that she’d bought a house in NSW’s Northern Rivers, not too far from Byron Bay, and posted a photo of herself outside her front door.

While Abbie received many congratulatory well-wishes from fans, it was Matt’s comment that caught her followers’ attention. “Congrats!! Got some golden peacocks sorted?” he wrote.

“@drmattagnew still trying to find the perfect golden peacocks, but I got a coverlet instead of a doona so there are no bed making issues,” she replied.

“Trying to figure out if the transition to coverlet is a W because you’ve outsmarted the doona challenge, or an L because you’ve admitted defeat,” he responded, to which she said: “I think both. I am defeated. I can’t do this anymore.”

The ‘golden peacocks’ was apparently a reference to their photoshoot date, while the doona v. coverlet issue is a reference to the date they spent ‘moving in’ together, where they had to make up a bed with sheets and an – apparently difficult – doona cover.

Despite not reigniting their former relationship, it’s clear Abbie and Matt at the very least share an amicable friendship.

News of their chance rendezvous on Thursday comes three months after Abbie went public with Konrad, who was on Brooke Blurton’s season of The Bachelorette.

The pair have gone from strength to strength since meeting in Byron Bay late last year, and recently announced they are in an open relationship.
