Ruby Rose claps back at acne-shamers as she opens up about her skin concerns

“One side of my face is clear and the other is a mess.”

Ruby Rose has slammed those who scrutinised her skin as less-than-perfect at the Pitch Perfect 3 premiere.
Taking to Instagram, the actress explained that she recently broke out due to hotel pillow cases and a series of phone interviews to promote the upcoming sequel.
"This acne belongs to me, not them, and you are welcome to it," the 31-year-old shared alongside an up-close picture of her cheek. "I never thought I'd see the day I'd leave my beautiful country balling my eyes out…when I was so excited to come home. I mean it sucks…for me, I don't see how it's bothering so many others? but I'm a human. It happens..one side of my face is clear and the other is a mess."
She continued: "Dermatologist says its from the bacteria from all the phone interviews I did for PP3 and a reaction to hotel pillow cases (which I already know)..."
Ruby also took the opportunity to slam body shamers who criticised her health and weight at the film premiere.
"This is always my back..I have a tilted posterior (it's why I have abs but no butt) and spinal curvature from a bad car accident."
The Orange Is The New Black star went on to reveal that she's disabled comments on her social media pages in an attempt to create a "safe place."
"It's time to take that away from them to protect everyone. I can only do what I can to make this a safe place and I will," she explained.
"THIS IS WHY WE CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS LIKE INSTAGRAM COMMENTS," she said, referencing Taylor Swift's new song, "This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things." "BECAUSE YOU BREAK THEM I HAVE TO TAKE THEM, AWAY…ay ay ay."
The actress also slammed those who questioned her health and weight at recent appearances.
The 31-year-old wrote: "This is always my back..I have a tilted posterior (it's why I have abs but no butt) and spinal curvature from a bad car accident."
Ruby recently opened up about attending couple therapy with girlfriend Jess Origliasso, after sharing a very public Twitter spat with the other Veronica.
Although the actress often gushes about how lucky she is to be dating Jess, she told Kyle and Jackie O it isn't always smooth sailing, especially when they're forced to go long distance so often.
"Every relationship has ups and downs, and great moments, but that's what I love about it," she said on Friday.
"I swear by it with every relationship ever - and that's therapy."I think it's the greatest thing for an individual first. You need to know yourself and heal yourself and love yourself to love someone else."

Ruby championed the restorative power of therapy.
"We all communicate so differently depending on what we've been through in our lives, and what walls are up... so to do therapy and then just work together you find another level of understanding and appreciation," she said.
"We're at a point now where we properly know how to communicate long distance which I think has been the hardest thing."
Their relationship seems stronger than ever, but the same can't be said about the couple's relationship with the other Veronica.
After the postal survey results were announced, the actress sarcastically congratulated Lisa for her reaction to the news in an especially snarky tweet.
"So glad to see Lisa Origliasso screaming in excitement about the yes vote after telling us she thinks we should feel 'lucky' we don't get stoned to death like they do in other countries and to get over it a few months ago," she tweeted.
"Really warms my heart," with the extra spice of a rolling eyes emoji.
Ruby unfollowed Lisa on Twitter back in April and Jess did the same thing in September.
