The expression 'it's better to be safe than sorry' is one we've heard many a time, but it's rung particularly true for Today Show host Georgie Gardner.
The TV presenter took to Instagram on Thursday to tell fans she'd had two skin cancers removed, revealing stitches from the removal procedure across her hairline.
She urged fans to be sun smart in the confronting post.
"Feeling a little flat after 2 more skin cancers removed, BUT counting my blessings they're NOT melanomas. Can't overstate enough to get your skin checked & slap on the sunscreen!! #besunsmartpeople." she wrote.
The post has already received more than 4,000 likes, with fans expressing their thanks to the mum-of-two for the important reminder.
One fan wrote: "Definitely get checked I had 2 moles removed as they doctor thought they looked like they were changing slightly. Turns out they were fine on the biopsy. So glad my Dr was being cautious".

Gardner has been vocal about the topic in the past – in February, she shared a candid photo of a skin cancer she had cut out of her back. In the caption, she again voiced the importance of getting your skin checked.
"Another skin cancer cut out & a call out to get your skin checked people!!" she wrote.
Her most recent post is a timely reminder as Australians prepare for the warmer seasons and increased exposure to the sun.
