The royal couple were joined by their four children, Princess Elisabeth, Duchess of Brabant, 13, Prince Gabriel, 11, Prince Emmanuel, nine and seven-year-old Princess Eléonore who were all in high spirits as they attend the mass at St. Michael and St. Gudula in Brussels.

The 42-year-old Queen was glowing as she stepped out in an ivory dress and Fabienne Delvigne hat and her husband, Philippe, 55 looked dapper in a navy suit as he also celebrate two years of his reign as king since his father, King Albert II abdicated the throne on 21 July 2013.

Belgium’s National Day is a festival which celebrates the day that King Leopold I swore allegiance to the new Belgian constitution back in 1831.

President Barack Obama also sent the family his ‘heartfelt congratulations’ for Belgium’s National Day.
