While the Southern Hemisphere continues to shiver through winter, our neighbours up north are making the most of the summer sunshine – and that includes one of your favourite royal fams.

Crown Princess Mary and her husband of 13 years, Prince Frederik, have whisked their four gorgeous kids Prince Christian, 11, Princess Isabella, 10, and six-year-old twins Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine away for the ultimate family holiday.

And the proud parents have kindly shared a rare glimpse into their getaway via their official Facebook page.

Fresh from their sailing adventures on board a luxury yacht around the Greek islands earlier in the month, the royals have squeezed in some quality time in their motherland.

Their candid family album show them visiting beaches and museums in the Danish island of Møns Klint.

The happy family pose for a pic at the Faaborg Museum.

Hunting for fossils never looked so glam!

They also paid a visit to the Faaborg Museum before jumping into a speed boat around Faaborg.

Posing for a family portrait in the museum, which showcases paintings, sculptures, and architecture from colonies around Denmark, Mary and Fred’s kids have grown up so much while the couple look refreshed and relaxed from their summer break.

As their holiday comes to an end, it will be back to royal responsibilities for Mary and Fred.

It’s been a jam-packed summer for the Danish Royals, who also attended the Ringsted horse ceremony at Grasten Palace with Queen Margrethe.

In February, the clan headed to their beloved Verbier in Switzerland for a skiing trip.
