The Cambridges are making the most of the beautiful weather, as they continued their five day trip around Poland and Germany.
It’s day two in Germany and day four of the entire tour for the Royal family, who are currently in Heidelberg, Germany.
While Prince George and Princess Charlotte were kept busy with family nanny, Maria (a better name for a nanny we know not), at the temporary palace, The Duke and Duchess went head-to-head in a river boat race.
Rowing down the scenic River Neckar in Germany, the sporty royal couple took the race seriously with Kate telling her rowing team, “No pressure, but I do want to beat my husband.”
She was in with a good chance with Olympic gold medallist, Filip Adamski, as her stroke.
William still managed to win the very close race, punching the air in delight.
Kate was handed a beer post race and held it smiling, always gracious even in defeat.
The couple were not actually rowing the vessels themselves, rather were given the responsibility of coxswain, sitting at the front of boats and steering them.
Kate was reportedly worried about crashing, though Adamski eased her concerns by saying, “If we crash, we crash together.”
Can’t say that would put our minds at rest but we’re glad it all turned out okay and everyone had a wonderful time.
The Royal couple also had time to make a few pretzels and sweeties during their visit
