Rich and royal: bachelors and bachelorettes

You'll be pleased to know that Prince Harry isn't the only blue-blooded fish in the sea.

Prince Harry is sitting on the singles table right now but with so many ladies vying after the fourth in line to the throne it’s good to know he’s not the only rich and royal bachelor on the market.

While the hopes of winning Harry’s hand might provide even the most blue-blooded blondes with a challenge – unlucky Cressida – the odds of one day wearing a crown might improve when you consider the other single and spunky sovereigns.

From the Greek Isles to Thailand, there are so many single royals still waiting to have their fairy tale wedding. While some may be from teeny tiny obscure lands that may be a touch larger than Tasmania, one should keep in mind that a royal title is still a royal title.

Here are some of the world’s most eligible royals.

Pierre Rainier Stefano Casiraghi of Monaco, Prince Sebastien of Luxembourg and of course Prince Harry of Great Britain are all unwed sovereigns making them instantly some of the best bachelors on the singles market.

Get in line ladies! Prince Harry is the ultimate Prince Charming on the market. He’s been single since his two year relationship to dance graduate Cressida Bonas ended in April. Since the split Harry is rumoured to be enjoying the single life and throwing himself into his charity work.

Pierre Rainier Stefano Casiraghi, 26, is the younger son of Caroline, Princess of Hanover, and her second husband, Stefano Casiraghi. While technically single, the fourth in line to the throne of Monaco is currently dating Beatrice Borromeo, a journalist and member of an ancient Italian aristocratic family, of course.

You’ll have to be able to run to catch this sporty Prince. Prince Sebastien of Luxembourg, 22, loves sport and is fourth in line to the throne. While his handsome brother, Prince Felix, recently married and is off the market, Sebastien is still available.

Prince Albert of Thurn und Taxis, 30, is a German aristocrat with an estimated net worth of $1.5 billion. His family’s fortune derives from a 16th century ancestor appointed as postmaster general of the Holy Roman Empire. Albert enjoys living in the fast lane as a professional race car driver on the European circuit and tours with a German auto-racing league.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum (popularly known as “Fazza”), 31, is Dubai’s Crown Prince. Fazza is an avid horse rider, published poet and semi-professional skydiver. And probably has more money than he can spend in a lifetime.

Prince Wenzeslaus of Liechtenstein, 40, might come from a tiny land but he has a huge fortune. The suave blue-blooded billionaire has had a string of supermodel girlfriends, including Victoria’s Secret model, Adriana Lima.

Red-haired royal, Princess Beatrice of York, 25, may not get as much attention as her cousins, but Beatrice has certainly had her accomplishments. She graduated from university in 2011 and became the first royal to complete the London Marathon. She’s currently in a long-term relationship with Dave Clark, who works for Richard Branson.

Princess Theodora of Greece, 31, grew up in England with her brother, Philippos, and attended the prestigious Brown University and London’s Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design.

Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana of Thailand is the 27-year-old royal whose chic style is turning heads. Fashionable Sirivannavari is a regular at Paris Fashion Week and has shown her own collection in Thailand and Paris.

Princess Alexandra of Luxembourg, 23, is a studious royal having studied history, psychology and sociology at Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio.

Princess Tsuguko of Takamado, Japan, is a 28-year-old royal who studied at the University of Edinburgh and graduated from the prestigious Waseda University in 2013. The do-gooder works with UNICEF and attends functions representing the royal family.
