From the Royal box the handsome pair will be treated to an evening of music, theatre, comedy and dance at the London Palladium on Thursday 13 November.

Duchess of Cambridge, née Kate Middleton, who is currently pregnant with a little brother or sister for Prince George, will also meet and greet the acts performing on the night, which include UK singers Ed Sheeran, Ellie Goulding, American tween idol Demi Lovato and Britain’s Got Talent winners Collabro.

The entertainment spectacular will be hosted by funny man Michael McIntyre while comedians Russell Kane, Jake Whitehall, Sarah Millican and Trevor Noah will keep the gags going with stand-up routines.

Prior to the Royal Variety engagement, sporty Kate will attend a workshop run by youth charity SportsAid.

The Duchess will visit the GSK Human Performance Lab in Brentford, West London, where she will tour the facility with budding young athletes who are potential Tokyo 2020 Olympic candidates.

Kate has been patron of the youth charity – which supports hopeful athletes with financial support – since 2013.
