According to a new report from The Sun on Sunday, things are going so well between Prince Harry and his new girlfriend that he’s introduced her to his sister-in-law, Duchess Catherine, and his 20-month-old niece, Princess Charlotte.

“Kate was really looking forward to meeting Meghan and she knew how important it was to Harry. They are very close and he really values her opinion on girlfriends,” a source told the publication.

The reported catch-up took place at the Cambridge’s Kensington Palace apartment after the smitten couple returned from their romantic escape to the Northern Lights in Norway.

Indeed, Prince Harry deeply values Duchess Catherine’s opinion and by all accounts the meet-and-greet was a great success.

“Obviously Harry’s mother, Princess Diana, died when he was very young so Kate really fulfils that older sister/maternal role. It went really well and Meghan was very excited about meeting her,” the insider explained.

The Suits beauty has already met Prince William and Prince Charles.

Meanwhile at the casual catch-up, which Prince William was also present at, Meghan played with Princess Charlotte and gifted Catherine a small birthday present for her 35th, which was on January 9th.

“She got to play with Charlotte who she just adored. Meg had bought Kate a small birthday present – a very smart leather-bound ‘dream diary’ for her thoughts and ideas which Kate loved,” the source told The Sun.

The jet-setting duo are reportedly off to Switzerland for their next holiday in February.

“This just shows how serious Harry is,” they added.

With Valentine’s Day fast approaching, it’s believed Harry is planning another romantic escape with Meghan.

This time, the duo are reportedly jetting off to Harry’s favourite Swiss ski resort – Verbier, The Mail On Sunday reports.
