The Duchess of Cambridge visited two Action for Children projects in Wales on Wednesday.
Kate, who succeeded the Queen as the patron for the UK children’s charity late last year, is no stranger to the admirable charity having visited some of the organisation’s services last year.
Wearing her hair in a chic half-up ‘do, Kate chose to wear a matching burgundy jacket and skirt by designer Paule Ka for the occasion. She complemented the classic look with riding boots and a black knitted turtleneck jumper.
The much-loved royal spent the day meeting with children, families, and those involved in the foster care system in an attempt to learn more about the wonderful organisation.
A handful of young royal enthusiasts were lucky enough to share a special moment with the Duchess.
The doting mother-of-two chatted happily with children outside the event.
Kate was all smiles despite the dreary weather!
The 35-year-old royal looked especially pleased with this little boy’s offering.

The Duchess even tried her hand at a game of pool. Although, Craig Davies, a 15-year-old teenager at the center, cheekily revealed that he was left thoroughly unimpressed by the royal’s prowess on the billard table.
When quizzed about Kate’s pool skills, the teenager pulled a face and said: “She was dreadful.”
Cheeky blighter!
Writing on Twitter, Kensington Palace said of Kate’s visit, “The Duchess of Cambridge is incredibly proud to follow The Queen as Patron of Action for Children.”
“The Duchess firmly believes that every child who needs it should be given the best support at the earliest opportunity.”
It seems Kate might need a crash course in pool – asap!

When Kate was named as the charity’s newest patron, Sir Tony Hawkhead, Action For Children’s chief executive, said: “Everyone at Action For Children is thrilled to have received confirmation that HRH the Duchess of Cambridge will take over patronage of the charity from Her Majesty The Queen.”
“It is a great honour to begin what I am sure will be a long association with a member of the royal family, with whom we already have a relationship following visits to some of our services in 2015.”
“The Duchess has an interest in many of the issues our teams deal with across the UK, particularly around emotional well-being and mental health.”
“On behalf of the 390,000 children and families we help, our supporters, trustees and staff, I offer a warm welcome to the Duchess of Cambridge as our new royal patron.”
Action For Children manages 650 projects and services based around the UK, working with hundreds and thousands of children, young people and their families who are in need of support.
According to the Action for Children website, the organisation works, “to make sure every child and young person has the love, support and opportunity they need to reach their potential.”
