It sounds like Catherine can't wait for Prince George to start big school.

Kate recently confessed Prince George doesn't have "any idea what's going to hit him" when he starts big school.

Earlier this week Duchess Catherine was the guest of honour at at the 2017 Portrait Gala in the National Portrait Gallery in London.

As the 35-year-old chatted to guests, the topic soon steered to her aspiring artist, Prince George, who is set to attend Thomas’s Battersea School in September.

During her latest outing, the Duchess of Cambridge spoke affectionately about her son.

But it seems like his mummy thinks he doesn’t have “any idea what’s going to hit him” as the Cambridges gear up to enter this exciting new chapter of their lives.

Our favourite Prince will be four years old when he becomes a full-time student and it will no doubt be a huge change compared to his quiet country life in Norfolk.

Just like any other mum, Kate will be with him every step of the way, even at school drop-offs.

Earlier this week, Kensington Palace announced that Prince George will be attending Thomas’s Battersea School in London.

The 35-year-old spoke with Richard Found and his wife Jane Suitor, who are parents at the school.

“We were chatting about Thomas’s, the school George will be going to,” Richard told The Telegraph UK.

“We’re parents there as well. She just said, ‘I may see you at the school gates.'”

Kate, who has been a patron of the gallery since 2012, also chatted with model Alexa Chung’s father, who admitted he had quite the art collection himself.

The proud mum, who studied art history at St Andrews, admitted that she was already trying to get George and Charlotte to tap into their creative side.

“Their Royal Highnesses are delighted to have found a school where they are confident George will have a happy and successful start to his education,” the palace said in a statement.
