The Bachelorette fans and, let’s be honest, the whole of Australia were devastated at the end of last year when Sam Frost and Sasha Mielczarek announced that they had split.
But our girl Sam seems to be smiling and happy again – and it may have something to do with the sexy, bearded guy she’s been snapped hanging out with.
New pictures of Sam and friends celebrating Australia Day show her getting cosy with Bondi boy Dave Bashford. It looks like the pair couldn’t keep their hands off each other during a get-together at Sydney’s Parsley Bay, where Dave introduced Sam to his nearest and dearest.

Onlookers told NW exclusively that Dave met Sam in the car park and whisked her off to a picnic, where they spent the arvo in each other’s arms, before slipping away for some private time.
“The booze was flowing and the touching intensified as the night continued,” they said.
“They were all over each other,” another source added.
Just friends?
While apparently they’ve been friends for years, Sam and Dave’s relationship is thought to have heated up when Sam and Sash’s went south.
Dave has striking similarities to Sash, (hello, tall, dark and handsome!) and they both come from country towns (Dave hails from Milton and Sash from Bowral). So it’s safe to say Sam has got a type!

“Sam is over the moon,” reveals a pal. “They’re spending so much time together…He’s basically moved in.”
While her reps deny reports that there’s anything romantic going on – insisting they’re “just friends” – the chemistry in these pics is pretty damn obvious.
Poor Sam didn’t have a great start to the year. Her split with Sash in December was followed by news that her breakfast radio show with Rove McManus had been downgraded to an evening time slot.
Something tells us her luck might be changing…
