Man dumped on Valentine’s Day after flower delivery fail

This just in: apparently, the thought does not count.
Man dumped on Valentine’s Day after flower delivery fail

…Well, at least not for a now-single woman after she brutally dropped her other half, thanks to a Sydney florist who had their hands full on love’s biggest day of the year.

The ‘heartbroken’ man took to social media to slam the company Fresh Flowers, blaming them and their inability to deliver his gift of Valentine’s ~love~ for his relationship’s demise.

“Thanks you for your awful service and ruining Valentine’s Day. My order was never delivered and your phone line is constantly engaged,” he wrote on Facebook.

“Do you know what isn’t engaged? My girlfriend! She’s left me because the flowers I organised were not delivered.”

“Shame on you. I am truly heartbroken because of your inability to do the one thing your company is built on. Thanks for nothing.”

And it appears the man and his now-ex weren’t the only ones to feel love’s keen sting yesterday.

Comments rolled in from many other disgruntled lovers, who by 11.00pm had also given up on the hopes that they would be accepting roses.

“No better feeling than coming home to a deflated partner on a day he was trying to make special,” wrote one user, who kept complaining that her previous comments were being deleted by the page’s social media manager.

“Hey Fresh Flowers, you may want to review your social media policy and sack your social media manager too. It doesn’t look good when you delete a whole post off Facebook,” the furious customer added.

The company then finally took to social media to deliver what many deemed to be a too-little-too-late apology.

“All of us at Fresh Flowers sincerely apologise to our customers who didn’t receive their Valentine’s Day deliveries on time.”

“We are investigating with our courier partners with what happened.”

The company are now offering customers a full refund and replacement, although, that hasn’t stopped the influx of comments from those affected.

One particular commenter, however, was quick to reassure that loved-up couples could send flowers any old day of the year. “It’s just flowers, people,” they wrote.
