The world’s most genetically blessed twins, Ella and Alexander Clooney, are already experiencing the magic of the digital age. Just two hours after making their grand entrance into the world, the youngsters hit the web for a skype meet-and-greet with their paternal grandparents — Nick Clooney and Nina Warren.

And according to the proud grandad, it was “superwoman” Amal Clooney who arranged the call while recovering after giving birth in London.

“They’re gorgeous,” Nick Clooney told a Cincinnati TV station, while providing an update about the new babies.

He said that the children both have dark hair and “are gorgeous,” but one in particular seems to take after their famous father.

“Nina swears they have George’s nose,” Nick said. “Not both of them — one of them. The little boy looked like he had [George’s] nose, his little profile.”

He added: “And I love their names Alexander and Ella. Both sound terrific.”

As for the new parents? Nick explained that they’re doing “wonderfully well,” before quipping: “George, well, his eyes were glazed so I’m not sure that he was sober.”

George is pictured alongside his parents, Nick and Nina, way back in 2006.

Amal’s mum, Baria Alamuddin, was present for the birth, and even brought a few gifts for the babies. Speaking of the little bundles of joy, she told AFP news agency: “We are over the moon! It was a beautiful delivery. The babies are beautiful and are doing well.”

Sharing a similar sentiment, Amal’s father Ramzi Alamuddin, who lives in Beirut, told the publication: “They are in great heath. All is perfect.”

The couple are reportedly over the moon with their newest arrivals.

We can’t wait to catch a glimpse of their no-doubt stunning bundles of joy.

The Money Monster actor, 56, and British-Lebanese human rights lawyer, 39, announced the arrival of their twins — a healthy baby boy and girl — in a quick-witted statement to People.

“This morning Amal and George welcomed Ella and Alexander Clooney into their lives. Ella, Alexander and Amal are all healthy, happy and doing fine. George is sedated and should recover in a few days,” the statement read.

Following the joyous announcement, celebrities and fans of the pair have taken to Twitter to share their sweet (and sometimes side-splittingly hilarious) well wishes:

Not only that, but George and Amal’s pal Rande Gerber (husband to Cindy Crawford and George’s business partner) took to Instagram to share a lovely (albeit boozy) gift for the new parents.

In a video posted on the tequila business, Casamigos, brand page, Rande can be seen pushing a trolley stacked with nappies and, of course, plenty of the friends’ tequila.

(Nothing like a humble brand spruik, right, Rande?)

Celebrity tweets and gifts aside, nothing can steal the limelight from the happy couple’s wonderful baby news.

Congratulations again to the happy family-of-four!
