Missing Queensland girls found

Holly Goodwin, 14 and Emma Howarth, 13, have been found four days after they went missing.

Two teenage girls who went missing from their Gold Coast homes have been found four days after they disappeared.

Holly Goodwin, 14 and Emma Howarth, 13, were found in Gympie, about 250km north of Mudgeeraba, where they were last seen by family at around 7pm on Thursday.

The girls are reportedly “safe and well” and Emma’s mother has already posted a message expressing her relief on Facebook.

“Our little girls have been found,” she wrote. “I have no details and do not know when we will be reunited. I am so relieved I’m almost numb – I feel like my life has just come off hold again.”

She also thanked emergency services and the members of the public who had helped the search.
