Mothers everywhere recoil in horror as Kellyanne Conway puts her shoes on the couch

The internet has severe feelings on Conways's alleged disrespect and what we like to call her "alternative bare feet".

Queen of alternative facts Kellyanne Conway has come to international attention yet again.

Only this time, it’s not about what she’s said, but how she’s seated.

While Trump met with leaders of historically black colleges and universities for Black History Month, Conway was ~~texting her friends at a slumber party~~ kneeling on an Oval Office couch with her shoes on.

(And people around the world let out a collective shudder remembering being scolded for doing the same thing.)

Some blasted her behaviour as a lack of respect, but collages quickly surfaced of Obama’s similar lax approach to the Oval Office furniture in response.

Other photos that surfaced showed Conway was apparently in that position to take pictures of the assembled group:

To be honest, the real issue here isn’t her posture, it’s that she thinks that’s the best angle to take a photo from. Everyone knows you shoot from above not below… hello, double chins. Plus there’s no way the whole group is in that frame.

Maybe next time she can ask the chorus of professional photographers surrounding her what the best course of action is.

As is to be expected, Twitter is producing some top-notch memes:

At the end of the day, there’s been way worse things to happen in the Oval Office, surely…
