The President of the United States posted a video of himself repeatedly punching ‘CNN.’ Yes, really.
Donald Trump’s latest tweet is his most bonkers yet

Donald Trump‘s latest tweet could be the most bizarre yet.

President Trump posted a video to his Twitter account in which he is portrayed punching a figure whose head has been replaced by the logo for CNN.

Crazily enough, it’s real footage from ‘Wrestlemania’, a WWE event the president of the United States was actually involved in 10 years ago.

CNN released a statement on the matter saying it’s a “sad day when the President of the United States encourages violence against reporters.”

“Instead of preparing for his overseas trip, his first meeting with Vladimir Putin, ‎dealing with North Korea and working on his health care bill, he is instead involved in juvenile behavior far below the dignity of his office. We will keep doing our jobs. He should start doing his.”

Now, it’s no secret that in today’s digital age there’s increased volatility over what information politicians and the media can put out there. Many politicians are at constant loggerheads with the media about what they deem to be ‘fake news’.

Fake news , by definition, are articles deliberately written to spread misinformation and often to drive a political agenda.

But Donald Trump likes to misuse the phrase to try to discredit news organisations reporting information he doesn’t agree with. CNN, The New York Times and Buzzfeed have all been deemed ‘fake news’ by Trump.

CNN also published a story stating wrestling was the “perfect metaphor for Donald Trump’s presidency”, which got us thinking, he’s using a fake fighting outlet to fight fake news, which is hurting our brains more than we’d care to admit.

The clip ends with a restyling of the CNN logo as “FNN: Fraud News Network.”

It’s, well, it’s something alright… Watch below:
