The shocking texts Brenda Lin’s aunt sent her after she stood up against her sexually abusive uncle

Ms Lin's uncle has also just been handed down five life sentences for the murder of her family in July 2009.

Two weeks ago, Brenda Lin revealed to the courts that her uncle, Robert Xie had inappropriately touched her before the murders, with the assaults intensifying when she moved in with him and his wife, Kathy Lin, after her family was killed.

Now, in her first-ever public interview since her family were murdered in 2009, Brenda Lin describes the loss and horror of it all, the sexual abuse he inflicted upon her, as well as what her aunty, Mr Xie’s wife, Kathy Lin, texted her after she spoke of her abuse.

“I was very disappointed by that because when I… when I gave evidence, I didn’t… I told the truth,” Ms Lin said on Sunday Night.

“And she used to send me messages saying that he was innocent, he was being framed by the police.”

“I hope, one day, she can realise that… all I did was tell the truth. She’s better off not with him.”

During Mr Xie’s sentencing, Ms Lin spoke of the pain she still feels since losing her family almost eight years ago.

‘I do not even know how to begin to express how the murder of my immediate family have impacted my life – there are not enough words to describe the pain and suffering caused me and those around me,”she told the court.

“To this day, my biggest regret was not hugging (my father) and telling him I loved him, to say thank you for being an amazingly loving and caring parent.”

“It has been seven-and-a-half years since I have lost my family. That’s seven-and-a-half years without a loving mother, seven-and-a-half years without a loving father.”

Despite being convicted of the July 2009 murders of Ms Lin’s parents, Min and Lily, her two brothers, Henry and Terry, and her aunt, Irene, according to The Daily Mail, Kathy Lin still claims Mr Xie is innocent.

“He is innocent. We believe that he is innocent. We keep fighting for him,” she says
