Baby boy from Gympie falls into an open fire

The four-month-old received burns to 18% of his body, reports say.

A baby boy has been flown to Brisbane from Gympie after suffering burns to his left boy.

A paediatric team was flown from Brisbane’s Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital to Gympie Hospital overnight to airlift the four-month-old who is believed to have suffered burns to 18% of his body.

The young boy is understood to have fallen into an open fire.

He was flown in a stable condition to the Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital with his mother.
