Ariana Grande reportedly offers to pay for funerals of Manchester attack victims

Ariana Grande has reportedly offered to pay for the funerals of those who were tragically killed in the Manchester terrorist attack on Monday night, according to reports.

A Twitter account dedicated to providing updates on the singer claims the American-native has reached out to the families of the 22 people who lost their lives in the suicide bombing following her concert at Manchester Arena.

“News on Ariana: Ariana has reached out to the families who’s loves ones died last night….she is gonna pay for the funerals!” the tweet reads.

Representatives for the 23-year-old are yet to confirm the gesture, however, fans have already begun to share their thanks and admiration:

She has since suspended her Dangerous Woman tour and flown home to the US.

“Due to the tragic events in Manchester the Dangerous Woman tour with Ariana Grande has been suspended until we can further assess the situation and pay our proper respects to those lost,” Ariana’s management told Fox News in a statement.

“The London O2 shows this week have been cancelled as well as all shows though June 5 in Switzerland.”

The statement continued: “We ask at this time that we all continue to support the city of Manchester and all those families affected by this cowardice and senseless act of violence. Our way of life has once again been threatened but we will overcome this together. Thank you.”

Police have now identified the suicide bomber who carried out the explosion that killed 22 people and injured 59 others.

The attacker, Salman Abedi, 22, detonated a homemade bomb at around 10:30 p.m on Monday near the foyer of Manchester Arena as children, teenagers and parents exited the Ariana Grande concert.

Several news outlets have revealed the assailant as a British national of Libyan descent, but police officials have declined to provide any further details.

Among those he killed were eight-year-old Saffie Rose Roussos; Georgina Callander, 18; John Atkinson, 26; Kelly Brewster, 32; and Olivia Campbell, 15.
