We all adore our pets, they’re our babies. And just like babies, everyone’s convinced that theirs is the cutest.

Jess Rona is an LA-based dog groomer that understands, and she’s made it her mission to give each dog their own unique flair and personality so everyone else sees what you see.

She’s inspired by the quirky Chinese, Korean and Japanese dog groomers and trims, massages and styles each dog into the cutest version of itself.

Although undeniably a styling genius, it’s her ridiculously adorable and funny Instagram videos that have launched her into viral fame.

Talking to In Style, the comedienne said the conception of her now-famous videos was a serendipitous affair.

“One day I was blow-drying a Pekingese named Noodle and her ears flew up in the air. I grabbed my phone and filmed it and posted it. This was before the slo-mo feature,” she said.

“I thought it was so funny. A few months later, I got a new phone with slo-mo and started playing around with music and timing.

“I listen to music all day, so it organically started to take shape when a song I was listening to matched the tone of the dog I was blow-drying. Then, it became my favourite thing to do.”

When it comes to picking the music, Jess has a couple of different approaches.

“Sometimes I’ll hear a song and be moved by it and think to myself ‘I gotta use this song in a video!’,” she explained to In Style.

“Other times I will shoot a video and get footage of a dog that has a certain tone or emotion and then I’m on the hunt for the perfect song.

“I have old videos in my phone from months ago that I can’t find songs for!”

Remember how we said she understands your dogs are your babies? We weren’t kidding. If we got treated half as well as these pampered pooches we’d never be stressed again.

“We usually spend an hour bathing our dogs,” she told Cosmopolitan.

One. Hour.

“We start off by cleaning their ears and giving them a blueberry facial, which is a concentrated face wash. I’ll do a clay mask on dogs who have skin issues.

“Then I choose the shampoo and conditioner to match the dog’s coat type, and I give all our dogs an argan oil face mask.

“Then comes the blow-dry, fluff, and style. I also love to finish with a dry argan oil to keep the follicles hydrated and detangled.”

If you are in LA and need a dog groomer, too bad because her books are closed with no waitlist.

Looks like we’ll all just have to satisfy our well-groomed puppy needs by stalking her Instagram.
