A fashion icon is a very rare breed of person. It takes someone with pizazz and a real sense of self to get a trend going.

And it looks like the adorable Prince George has made the cut!

Following the little Prince’s first day of school, Royal aficionados were in a frenzy attempting to replicate the outfit he wore in all its darling glory.

Ah, it feels like only yesterday we were trying to hunt down his Christening outfit. How time flies!

Fashion blog What Kate’s Kids Wore got the low down on Prince George’s black leather shoes.

According to uniform policy, the children who attend Thomas’s Battersea school must wear, “black leather, polishable, laceless shoes.”

The fashion blog traced the shoes back to Spanish company Pisamonas, who confirm that based on recent orders they believe Prince George was indeed wearing their shoes.

The style is called School Moccasin and they retail for $65 (£38.95), coming in both black (just like those worn by Prince George) and navy blue.

Unsurprisingly, the shoes are already sold out in almost all sizes.

Looks like Prince George is more than just third in line to the throne, and can now count fashion icon among his numerous titles.

The perfect pout for a fashion icon.

Young George, who turned four in July, has been enrolled in one of three reception classes at the co-educational outpost, and he will join a mixed class of boys and girls at the $AUD28,607 per year school.

Upholding a set of core values – kindness, courtesy, confidence, humility and learning to be givers, not takers – the elite school holds an impressive record of senior school entrance and scholarship successes.

Indeed, the Tatler Schools Guide says the “cream of the Battersea crop rises to the likes of Eton and Wycombe Abbey.”

The school, which is just a stone’s throw from their royal residence, currently has 544 day pupils, aged between four and 13.
