Offers are coming out, so it’s time to get educated.

The final year of school is said to be the most stressful time in a teenager’s life – the exams, the studying – and the social pressures. Meanwhile, our kids are also expected to make decisions that will directly impact their future: Should I go to university? Which university should I apply for? What course will I do? Is the university of Tasmania stadium as good as everyone says?

To help our teens feel empowered into making the right decisions for their future, we’ve decoded The Good University Guide’s university ratings and rankings for 2018, so when university offers 2017 start rolling in, mum and dad are educated too. For NSW and ACT, AEC are releasing first round offers today!

These results are based on graduates who were employed full-time four months after completing their course.

These rating looked at the proportion of students who were satisfied with the overall quality of their educational experience.

These rankings look at a university’s retention of domestic students through to a second year of study.

More specifically, for teens waiting on university offers 2017 for medicine, according to The Good Universities Guide medical graduates with the highest salaries came from courses at The University of Western Australia, The University of Notre Dame Australia, The University of Queensland and Bond University.

Meanwhile, The University of Melbourne, Bond University, Australian Catholic University and Wollongong University were listed as the universities with the best skill development in communications courses.

So whether your year 12 teen is waiting on a university offer for economics, or a university offer for law, or maybe they’re tossing up between Sydney uni or uni in Melbourne – the more educated you are, the less stressful the process will be…for everyone.
