There’s a free chocolate festival coming to Sydney

An entire weekend of chocolate? Where do we sign up?

Sometimes it’s the answer to all your problems.

Other times it’s still the answer to your problems, but served as a magic red wine.

Yep, we’re talking about chocolate and not just a little bit of chocolate, but an entire festival of chocolate coming to Sydney for one weekend of bliss.

The Smooth Festival of Chocolate had your taste buds tingling in the in 2015 and the lead up to 2017 is proving to be no exception – the excitement is palpable.

So what can you expect?

The festival will be taking place at The Rocks, Sydney and is being called “Australia’s biggest celebration of decadence and indulgences”.

Running Saturday 12 10am-6pm until August 13 10am-6pm, this festival is drawing in some big names.

Featuring food and dessert stalls run by artisan chocolatiers from all over NSW, The Lindt Lounge and The Mr Black Espresso Martini Bar, you could definitely call this a prime weekend of decadence.

Oh, and did we mention it’s free entry?

The only money you’ll spend will be on the food and drink you’ll consume – so chocoholics better leave the credit card at home – or not, because EFTPOS will be available.

The event will also feature The Callebaut Test Kitchen, showcasing cooking demonstrations from names like Jean Michel Raynaud from La Renaissance Patisserie and Kirsten Tibballs – Australia’s Queen of Chocolate.

On top of all of this, there will also be a jungle made of chocolate and your doggo friends can enjoy the sweet treats too with a distinctive line of doughnuts, call Domuts.
