The singer who is currently touring Australia with his critically acclaimed album X is making a very special appearance on the Summer Bay show.
Ed was spotted filming a scene with Emily Symons, who plays much-loved character Marilyn Chambers. While his storyline on the show is under lock and key, Channel 7 News confirmed he’ll be playing himself.
Home and Away‘s Demi Harman is leaving Summer Bay!
The 24-year-old was extremely pleased to be adding Home and Away to his list of credentials, with the show holding a special spot in his heart.
“It’s an Australian institution . It’s always on in my local chip shop.” He told News.com.
“I got asked to do it and it sounded like it could be fun. I did Shortland Street in New Zealand as well and I’m sure if Emmerdale or EastEnders ever ask me in England I would do that as well.
“I have got to a point where I really, really don’t care what people think so I’m doing stuff because I enjoy it now rather than because it might be cool. I am just in it for fun.”
Ed also has a connection to the show through Home & Away alumni , Isabel Lucas. The much loved Australian actress known for her role as Tasha Andrews, featured in Ed’s music video for his single Give Me Love.
We can’t wait to see Ed’s role on the show, which is set to air later in the year.
