Last night, former AFL star Brendan Fevola became the king of the jungle after being crowned the winner of season two of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

The 35-year-old beat fellow AFL alum Paul Harragon in Sunday night’s emotionally charged grand finale, winning the $100,000 prize money for his chosen charity; the now defunct Shane Warne Foundation.

But in a touching act, Brendan decided to split the generous sum down the middle and give half to his runner-up pal’s selected charity.

“I know I’ve won the $100,000, but with the Shane Warne Foundation he’s able to donate money to other charities, so I’m going to give half, $50,000, to the [brain cancer charity] Mark Hughes Foundation, because he’s my best mate,” Brendan announced upon discovering his win.

Naturally, Paul felt touched by the act of generosity from his new-found bestie.

“And that’s why he won and that’s why he’s special. The biggest heart mate…Party on. You’ve done it,” Paul gushed fondly.

“And that’s why he won and that’s why he’s special. The biggest heart mate,” Paul gushed of his new pal’s generosity.

After the crowning moment the father-of-three, who spent a total of 44 days in the South African jungle, was reunited with his wife Alex, and his three beautiful daughters, Mia, Leni and Lulu.

The 35-year-old father was noticeably overcome with emotion as he hugged his children for the first time, exclaiming: “Oh my god, I’m shaking.”

Shortly after his wife Alex entered the camp, causing the already overjoyed Brendan to spring to his feet for an overdue embrace.

The couple were thrilled to see each other after six weeks apart, and it was clear from the blonde beauty’s face that she was incredibly proud of her husband.

Speaking on her husbands “new improved” self, Alex said: “I think it’s been absolutely life-changing for him,”

“I’ve seen another side of him and this experience has just helped him mature a little bit and not take everything for granted.”

From the beginning of the reality TV program, the AFL star made it known that his intention for coming on the show was to change the public’s perception of him after what he claims to be a “chequered” past, which includes a gambling addiction and a rumoured affair with none other than Aussie beauty, Lara Bingle.

“Coming over here, it wasn’t about anything else for me but just to try to change the perception of myself back home because I’ve obviously had a bit of a chequered past,” he announced moments after the win before adding, “I just wanted them to see the real me.”

Brendan beamed happiness as he reunited with his wife and daughters after 6 weeks in the jungle.
