As part of her BreastScreen journey, Deborah Hutton sat down with Vicki Pridmore, CEO of BreastScreen Victoria, to talk about some of the commonly held myths around mammograms, and breast cancer in general.

Deb and Vicki discuss why a two-yearly mammogram is so crucial (even if you’re doing at-home breast checks), and Vicki shares the statistics around early detection and treatment that every woman needs to hear.

Two-yearly screening mammograms are free for women aged 50 to 74 (recently raised from 69), and take less time than you might spend updating Facebook. After all, what’s 20 minutes worth to you?
