We think we know where Prince George’s headmistress got her style inspo from…

The head of Thomas Battersea definitely did some internet trawling to come across this delightful dress...

In case you missed it (how could you have?), Prince William did the school drop-off for the first time yesterday.

The Prince beamed with pride as he walked his first child, the adorable and suitably apprehensive Prince George, through the gates of Thomas’s Battersea in London.

The pair were pictured greeting the head of the lower school, Helen Haslem, who kindly shook and then took the nervous young prince’s hand.

However, while all eyes were on Prince George, we were also noticing the headmistress’s fabulous outfit choice…

Of course the school’s head would be well versed in greeting the royals, but we must commend her on her pick of a LK Bennett “Amana” dress for the momentous day.

The flattering rose pink dress was a royal win – it’s now sold out in the US – boasting a v-neckline, structured top, cinched waist and a skirt with an elegant fall to the knee.

We’re sure Haslem would have had a what-on-earth-do-I-wear-moment but the style-savvy headmistress came out on top. And we think we know just where she found her style-spiration…

A simple google of “Duchess Catherine style” throws up page upon page of this royal’s chic sartorial choices. A nude shoe is a favourite of the Duchess, as is a form-fitting silhouette with a pretty A-line skirt (to the knee, of course).

One look of the headmistress’s shiny, nude pointed ballet flats and fit-and-flare dress would suggest that, like us, she’s a super-fan of the Duchess’s style.

The dress was so similar to outfits on rotation in Duchess Catherine’s wardrobe, that had she not been bed-ridden with chronic morning sickness and able to attend, we could have witnessed a royal fashion faux pas!

Dusty pink is a fashion favourite of the Duchess.

Another pink-hued frock.

We could see Duchess Catherine sashaying to her next meet-and-greet in an dress identical to Headmistress Haslem.

We just hope she jumps online quick enough to snap it up before it’s officially sold out. But something tells us she has more important things on her mind right now…
