Did our eyes deceive us or did Nicole Kidman wear mismatched heels on the Emmys red carpet?
We’ve all had that moment, at least once in our life, where we rush out the door, after hurriedly getting dressed (most likely in the dark), only to realise that we’re wearing two different pairs of shoes.
Surely this isn’t what happened to Emmys winner, Nicole? There must have been countless fittings (with the lights on) and glam squad meetings before the Aussie actress was allowed to step her unmatched-stiletto adorned foot onto the red carpet.
An odd shoe mishap doesn’t happen to an Emmy nominee A-lister. But if you set your gaze on Nic’s feet – which were on show last night as her tea-length Calvin Klein by Appointment dress fell just above her ankles – you will see the shoes are definitely different.

One stiletto has a jewelled strap across the front of the foot, while the other does not.
Well, of course this wasn’t actually a mistake. The pink heels were in fact also Calvin Klein and also a matching pair.
Did someone check Nicole’s shoes before she left for the Emmys?
On closer inspection, the shoe sans jeweled strap, has a Swarovski-encrusted ankle strap instead. When viewing the heels side-by-side, they look really quite cute.
While this may be the first time Nicole has worn these particular heels, it’s not the first time they’ve made their way down a red carpet.
Moonlight actress Naomie Harris, wore the fall 2017 ready-to-wear stilettos in yellow to the Oscars.
So next time you get dressed in the dark and happen to grab two different pairs of shoes, pretend you’re a style savant – just like Nicole.
