Did Julie Snook just wear white on the Allan Border blue carpet?

Talk about bravado!

Julie Snook has given fellow reporter Amber Sherlock the side-eye after defiantly wearing a near-white gown on the Allan Border blue carpet.

Earlier this month, Channel Nine’s sports reporter Julie made headlines along with Afternoon News host, Amber, after a seriously nasty off-air clip was leaked to the public.

The clip showed Amber, 41, berating Julie, 29, to “put on a jacket” simply because they each appeared to be wearing the same colour – white.

But it seems Julie has taken the now-viral events of ‘jacketgate’ in her stride after choosing to wear a near-white, high-necked, Grecian-style gown as she helmed Channel Nine’s Allan Border Medal coverage from Sydney’s The Star on Monday.

Speaking with The Daily Telegraph, Julie adamantly explained that her colour choice for the evening was more in the realm of “rose gold” than it was the ever-controversial white.

She said, “It’s definitely not white… it’s more rose gold”.

Let’s put it down to a matter of semantics, shall we?

The blonde beauty’s Carla Zampatti gown had punters questioning her motives.

There’s no mistaking Julie’s side-eye in this telling snap!

Rose gold, white, eggshell or off-white…whatever you call it, Julie looked stunning.

When questioned as to whether she’ll ever be courageous enough to don white on air again, Julie implored that she’d be back in her favourite hue in no time.

“I love it, I always wear it,” she said.

Reiterating Channel Nine’s party line, Julie added that despite appearances, she and Amber are actually very good friends.

“We’ve been having a good laugh about it, we’re really good friends,” she said.

The sports reporter also addressed recent rumours that Amber is notoriously difficult to work with.

“I haven’t even seen those stories, but she’s great. We are great friends,” Julie said.

When it comes to the EXACT colour of Julie’s gown, we’ll let you be the judge…

But for us, there’s no mistaking it!

‘Jacketgate,’ as it has become known, soared to international heights of controversy after the now-infamous clip played during the opening monologue of Jimmy Kimmel Live!.

Speaking to the uncomfortable off-air exchange, the popular American TV personality said, “I know it’s early but it could turn out to be clip of the year just there.”

He added, “I don’t know who decided to release this tape, but whoever it was, I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

According to sources at The Daily Telegraph, Channel Nine is reportedly fuming over the debacle and immediately kicked off a “witch hunt” to pinpoint who leaked the terse encounter.

“There are only a handful of people who could have been responsible for the video spreading,” the insider said.

“It wouldn’t take long to narrow down the source.”

The damaging video was allegedly circulated around the Nine newsroom before it was subsequently handed over to Mumbrella, from there making its way around the rest of the internet and the world.

Nine is yet to flush out the mole and it is reported they are considering what action to take once they do.

In a statement made after the video was leaked, Amber admits that she “probably overreacted with the pressure of presenting a live news bulletin.”

Following suit, Julie said in a statement, “Amber and I are good friends and I really enjoy working with her. News is a fast moving environment and sometimes these things just happen.”

We like your style, Julie!
