Donald Trump attacks retailer Nordstrom on Twitter… for dropping Ivanka’s clothing line

Somehow we don’t think this is going to do anything for his grown-up daughter’s reputation.

In yet another unprecedented move from the president, Donald Trump has slammed retailer Nordstrom for dropping Ivanka Trump’s clothing line.

He complained that the retailer had treated Ivanka “so unfairly.”

So, to be clear, the president of the United States is attacking a public company for dropping his daughter’s clothing line.

Nordstrom defended the decision, saying it was based on poor sales, not politics.

“In this case, based on the brand’s performance, we’ve decided not to buy it for this season,” the company said in a statement.

It comes as employees at T.J. Maxx were reportedly instructed to remove all Ivanka Trump merchandise from prominent displays.

Nordstrom’s shares fell less than 1% after Trump’s tweet, which prompted the hashtag #BoycottNordstrom from his followers on Twitter, but they quickly recovered.
