Surprisingly, Celine Dion can now add ‘fashion designer’ to her resume

Never thought this day would come.

It’s been just over a year since Celine Dion tragically lost her husband René Angélil to tongue cancer but things are seemingly on the up.

She’s partnered with fashion powerhouse The Bugatti Group and is set to release her own accessories line which will include handbags, luggage and other smaller accessories priced from luxe to less.

This week she debuted the 200-piece collection in Las Vegas and while you’ll be able to pre-order from February 27 via her website, you won’t actually get your hands on any pieces until early September.

Celine admits she was heavily involved in the design process, as each piece had to be something she would wear.

“The creation was fun because they [The Bugatti Group] were great listeners, they were open to any suggestions whether they were right or wrong. If there was anything I could not wear myself I would tell them right away,” she said during a press conference.

  2. Pizzicato Collection, US$108

  3. Octave Collection, US$298

  4. Cavatina Collection, US$88

But that’s not the only personal touch. Each piece in the collection will also include a print of a soundwave of Celine’s voice.

“I want my fans to know that I would wear my things,” she said when asked why she went to this extra length, and didn’t just leave it at adding her name.

Celine plans to add shoes, clothes and more lifestyle products to her line in the future.

“Clothing, jewellery, baby clothing, women’s something,” she says. “We will try to make every collection better and better.”
