In a moment which shocked The Bachelorette’s Sophie Monk and fans alike, Stu Laundy dropped a bombshell last week when he revealed he’s had a vasectomy.

But now that he has officially won Sophie’s heart, the father-of-four has confirmed exclusively to TV WEEK that he did in fact have his sperm frozen and can’t wait to be a dad again.

“There was always a plan B,” Stu says of his decision to undergo the procedure ten years ago.

The finale took place in stunning Fiji

“Whenever someone looks towards a vasectomy, the doctors told me all the options and my ex-wife and I decided at the time, we planned ahead. You never want to say never so we planned ahead.

“I’ve got a couple of different options to have children again.”

Speaking of his decision not to propose to Sophie during tonight’s finale, Stu says getting down on one knee never actually crossed his mind.

Stu was an intruder this series, but it didn’t stop him winning Sophie’s heart

“No, sorry I didn’t think about that,” he says matter-of-factly.

“I’m still married but at my age, and I think my personality, I’m a little more measured or a little less romantic than the other guys.

“Going into the finale, I certainly had huge loving feelings for Soph but it wasn’t in my mind to pop the question at that point.”

So can we expect to hear wedding bells in the near future?

“It’s certainly in my mind,” Stu admits.

“I haven’t loved a lot of girls in my life. One I was married to for 14 years and the other is Soph.”

And while Stu is reluctant to reveal whether or not the former Bardot band member has met his four daughters, he says they’ve loved watching him on the show.

“It was a joint decision between myself and the ex-wife not to have the kids involved in the show but not at any point did that mean that I didn’t want Sophie to meet them, just not on TV.

“I’ve actually had positive feedback from the kids. They’ve been pretty happy with their old dad.”
