Filming for season two of The Wrong Girl has begun

Lily’s life is set to become even more complicated…

The Wrong Girl is set to return for another entertaining round of love, friendships, work and family chaos.

Many of the incredibly talented cast were nominated for a TV WEEK Logie Award this year.

Jessica Marais won Best Actress, while Craig McLachlan was nominated for Best Actor.

Rob Collins won Best New Talent; Hayley Magnus was also nominated in the same category.

Ian Meadows, Kerry Armstrong, Madeleine West, Christie Whelan Browne, Hugo Johnstone-Burt, Doris Younane, Kevin Harrington, Ryan Shelton, Leah Vandenberg, Cecelia Peters, David Woods and Steve Vizard will also be returning for season two.

Lily Woodward (Jessica Marais) had to make a very tough decision at the end of season one – follow her heart and leave with Jack or stay in Sydney and further her career in television.

Season two picks up six months on from the season one finale, with Lily living in New Zealand with Jack while working on a documentary project.

However, while Lily may have found love, she’s not in love with her new life and misses her family, friends and career.

“I’m so excited to be back filming the second series of The Wrong Girl,” Jessica says.

“We are joined by some incredibly talented new faces and our favourites from series one. We have the most fantastic cast and crew and I look forward to bringing the colourful and charismatic Lily to life.”

“Lily’s love life is once again turned upside down, as The Wrong Girl returns with a brand new season,” Network Ten Head of Drama, Rick Maier, says.

“The world of The Breakfast Bar has never been more fun, chaotic or entertaining. Just when you think Lily’s life couldn’t get any more complicated, it does.”

Season one of the show was based on the novel of the same name by Zoe Foster Blake. Season two will air on the Ten and Win later this year.
