Crash and burn at the Backpackers

Lives were left hanging in the balance this week on Neighbours when two residents were injured when a ute ran into the Backpackers!

Amy’s (Zoe Cramond) ute crashed into the hostel, completely decimating Leo’s business as well as injuring a sleeping David (Takaya Honda) and an unsuspecting Piper (Mavournee Hazel).

It was a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time when Piper is involved in the accident.

David and Piper were both critically injured and taken straight to the hospital where Piper was rushed to radiology and David for a CT scan.

Numerous tests concluded that David was suffering from a fractured cheekbone and minor brain contusion whilst Piper had a broken leg!

Leo instantly suspected Amy of causing the accident, but she protested her innocence, claiming that she had left her ute unattended whilst she walked to Harold’s. If Amy isn’t responsible, who is?

David’s life hangs in the balance following the crash.

Romance at the Bonza Barbie Bash

The BBQ competition to end all others came to Ramsay Street this week. Three teams assembled to put their best sausage forward in order to be crowned winner.

Representing the Lassiters team was Terese (Rebekah Elmaloglou) and Gary (Damien Richardson), whilst Paul (Stefan Dennis) and Brooke (Fifi Box) fronted The Flame Tree’s team. New residents the Sharma-Rebecchis also threw their hats into the ring for the Barbie Bash.

The Bonza Barbie Bash got highly competitive!

Dipi (Sharon Johal) even brought her statue of Ganesh along to the competition as a good luck charm for her family and surprisingly it seemed to work as the Sharma-Rebecchis were voted the BBQ winners!

The real competition of the day was actually between Gary and Terese and Brooke and Paul as each couple tried to out-do each other. New lovers Brooke and Paul put on a show for their ex’s in order to make them jealous, which they definitely achieved!

Paul and Brooke played the role of the loved-up couple perfectly.

Finn’s true colours shine through

Finn (Rob Mills) FINALLY showed his true colours this week when he exploded in front of Elly (Jodi Anasta). Matters came to a head for Finn when he confronted Elly about their relationship and she made it clear that she didn’t want to be with him. Cue explosion!

This conversation came after Elly warned Finn about his inappropriate relationship with Xanthe (Lilly Van Der Meer). Elly became worried when Xanthe accidentally revealed that she knew a lot about Elly and Finn’s personal relationship. Elly relayed Finn’s outburst to Susan (Jackie Woodburne), who promised to keep an eye on him. We have a feeling this is all going to get much worse before it gets better…
