Let’s face it, this week The Bachelor Australia buzz has been firmly focused on Matty Johnson and that overnight date.

With all the talk of which lucky girl gets to have a sexy sleepover with the 30-year-old, we almost forgot the other spanner in the works the show has in store for us!

That’s right, Matty’s older sister Kate is set to descend on The Bachelor mansion to give her brother’s 14 girlfriends a good-old fashioned grilling.

That’s what older siblings are for, right?

And for Matty, nothing matters more than his loved one’s approval.

“It’s important to me that my family get along with whoever I ultimately end up with,” the reality star tells TV WEEK.

“Kate was always more reserved about me coming back for a second shot at love. She’s the one I turn to for relationship advice.”

Matty, pictured with his mum, sister and newphew, says his family’s approval matters.

Kate, 31, says she’s going to be keeping an eye out for any characters not worthy of her baby bro.

“I know that when I’m with a guy, I’m on my best behaviour. So I want to catch these girls out,” Kate explains to TV WEEK.

The mother-of-one (yes, as in the proud parent to MJ’s adorbs nephew George), also revealed she wouldn’t be able to spend too much time on the show this year due to some exciting news of her own.

“I knew there was a good possibility I would not be attending the finale due to me being newly pregnant and although I absolutely trust Matty’s judgment, I wanted to support him but also give him an outsiders opinion and make sure all the girls were truly being genuine,” Kate explained to The Daily Telegraph.

“Most of the girls were really excited to have someone new to talk to so they led a lot of how the conversations went,” Kate told the publication of her time on the dating series.

During her visit, it doesn’t take long for things to get nice and awkward when Kate asks Leah about her true intentions after she learns she used to be a topless waitress.

To see how it all goes down, tune in to The Bachelor tonight on Channel 10 at 7:30!

“It’s important to me that my family get along with whoever I ultimately end up with,” Matty says.
