The first official promo for The Bachelor Australia 2017 has been released. And just when we thought the man of the moment, Matty J, couldn’t get any hotter – he goes and proves us all wrong.
Hearts broke across the nation last year when Georgia Love chose mechanical plumber Lee Elliott over Matty in last season’s finale of The Bachelorette, leaving the 30-year-old shattered.
Now, Matty is preparing to share his own journey with the world, but he admits it’s been a tough road to finding happiness.
“I think it’s hard to meet an amazing person and last year I was able to meet someone pretty special,” Matty says in the promo which gives viewers a sneak peek as to what’s to come. “I really did love Georgia.”
But as the saying goes, time heals all wounds and the hunky marketing manager is finally ready to put himself out there again.
“Over time, wounds do heal and the prospect of falling in love again is more exciting than anything else,” Matty adds.
According to the promo, fans can expect plenty of romance, surprises and drama this season on The Bachelor.
“I really do believe that lightening can strike twice and I’m glad I have the second chance,” Matty says.
And as for which glamorous girl will go on to win Matty over, only time will tell.
“The only reason I’m here is to fall in love. Tonight is going to be that new beginning,” Matty says as he spruiks himself up before the first of his suitors’ steps out of the limo.
“One of these girls who step outside the limousine could be that person I spend the rest of my life with.”
