Many families have called Summer Bay home over the years.
Some moved to the Bay for a short time, whilst others have lived there for over 20 years!

The Braxtons
Notable members: Brax Braxton (Steve Peacocke), Heath Braxton (Dan Ewing) and Casey Braxton (Lincoln Younes). The whirlwind arrival of the River Boys brought some bad boy antics to Summer Bay.
The Fletchers
Notable member: Sally Fletcher (Kate Ritchie). The Home And Away drama began with the arrival of the Fletchers. The youngest, Sally, remained on the show for 20 years!
The Stewarts
Notable member: Alf Stewart (Ray Meagher) and Ailsa Stewart (Judy Nunn). The Stewarts were one of the original Home and Away families. Ailsa may be gone, but Alf’s legacy continues.
The Walkers
Notable members: Indi Walker (Samara Weaving) and Sid Walker (Robert Mammone). After a brief appearance in 2009 the Walker family were re-introduced as permanent characters – and quickly became fan favourites.
The Fishers
Notable member: Donald Fisher (Norman Coburn). Principal Fisher was a long-term fixture on the show – but between former wives and younger girlfriends his family life was always in turmoil.
The Hunters
Notable members: Scott Hunter (Kip Gamblin), Matilda Hunter (Indiana Evans) and Robbie Hunter (Jason Smith). When the Hunters arrived in 2003 they brought everything from health scares to love scandals.
The Sutherlands
Notable members: Kirsty Sutherland (Christie Hayes) and Dani Sutherland (Tammin Sursok). The Sutherland family dominated Summer Bay from 2001 with audiences enthralled by sisters’ Kirsty and Dani’s personal relationships.
The Nashs
Notable member: Gypsy Nash (Kimberley Cooper). Old buried secrets and new relationships sprang forth when the Nash family were introduced in 1998 as the new family running the caravan park.
The Pattersons
Notable members: Vinnie Patterson (Ryan Kwanten) and Leah Patterson-Baker (Ada Nicodemou). Current character Leah married into the iconic Home & Away family when she wed Vinnie in 2011.
The Morgan’s
Notable members: Justin (James Stewart), Tori (Penny Mcnamee), Brody (Jackson Heywood) and Mason (Orpheus Pledger). The family originally moved to Summer Bay whilst in Witness Protection but have since been able to make the Bay their home without the need for secrets and lies!
