With everything from natural disasters to heartbreaking diseases killing off fan-favourite characters, it seems no one is safe for long on Home and Away.
And a fair few have met their untimely deaths at the hands of a gun.
Hell-bent on revenge for various reasons, terrifying shooters have wreaked havoc on the sleepy town.

In 2004 Noah (Beau Brady) was shot dead by Sarah Lewis (Luisa Hastings-Edge). Sarah came to the Bay to seek revenge for the death of her boyfriend and whilst she had a number of residents held hostage, Sarah shot Noah and then turned the gun on herself.

Josh (Daniel Collopy) ruffled quite a few feathers when he commissoned the building of a bridge which connected two ends of the Bay together. This led to an argument between Josh and Barry Hyde (Ivar Kants) where Josh was accidentally shot.

Beloved character Jack Holden (Paul O’Brien) was tragically shot dead by Angelo Rosetta (Luke Jacobz) whilst investigating a local developer who was accused of burying cancer-causing toxic waste on a local worksite. Martha + Jack = Forever.

In 2012 Charlie (Esther Anderson) was sadly shot dead on her last day of work as a police officer. She had planned to move to the city with Brax (Stephen Peacocke), Casey (Lincoln Younes) and Ruby (Rebecca Breeds) in search of a calmer life.

After Charlotte (Erika Heynatz) threatened to reveal the secrets of many Summer Bay residents, she was shot while at the pier and her body fell into the sea. It was later revealed that Josh Barrett (Jackson Gallagher) accidentally shot Charlotte during an altercation.

After vowing to protect the Morgan siblings, Decker (John Adam) was shot and died following complications in surgery. Decker’s death rocked the Morgans, who at this point were still keeping their identity a secret.

In the 2019 season final , Mason was shot dead by thugs from the Ouroboros gang. When the gang took over the hospital in a terrifying siege, Mason decided to take a stand against the men in order to help Bella (Courtney Miller) who was clinging to life. When he – along with Alex (Zoë Ventoura), Jasmine (Sam Frost), Mackenzie (Emily Weir) and Marilyn (Emily Symons) – stood up to the gang, the gunman lost his nerve and snapped. Mason was shot dead. Tragic!
