Is The Real Housewives Of Sydney done for good?

The cast face a nervous wait as Foxtel stalls on season two.
The Real Housewives of Sydney

The first season of controversial reality series The Real Housewives Of Sydney was slammed by many viewers for being too bitchy, and it seems the screaming, scheming Sydney housewives could be silenced for good.

According to reports on Sydney Confidential, the bigwigs at Foxtel are yet to renew The Real Housewives Of Sydney for a second season, leaving the cast in limbo as they wait for an update.

The outlet reports that Krissy Marsh, Nicole O’Neil, Lisa Oldfield, Melissa Tkautz, Victoria Rees, Matty Samaei and Athena X Levendi originally signed three-year contracts.

This means they can’t sign on to any other TV work unless released by Foxtel early – and apparently several of the girls have had to knock back offers.

Confidential claims that all the women are willing to make a second season of RHOS, with one cast member telling the outlet: “We are all just waiting.”

The ladies court drama wherever they go!

It is understood that after the controversial drama of the first season, Foxtel want to give audiences a break before they dive back into a second series.

The cast member says that even if the show does come back, it won’t be the same as the first season.

“We know as much as the public at this stage,” the unnamed star tells Confidential. “We do know that [Foxtel] want to shake thing up.”

Apparently Foxtel want to give viewers a rest from the drama before heading into season two.

According to the outlet, Foxtel have indicated that no decisions have been made on the future of the series yet.

No more public shouting matches between Lisa and Krissy? Say it ain’t so!
