The glitz, the glamour, the endless months of planning! It’s not small feat getting the TV WEEK Logie Awards up and running and once the event starts things go into overdrive.

Backstage becomes a buzz of activity as the best and brightest on the box celebrate Australian TV. There are presenters to worry about, trophies to keep track of, photo shoots, interviews, celebrations and cast catch ups!

Luckily for you we managed to sneak behind the scenes and see what goes on behind closed doors!

LOGIE WINNERS: INTERVIEWS AND PHOTOS

Logie winners are whisked off stage and into the TV WEEK media room for a chat about their epic victory! They’ll also get some photos with their brand new trophy and maybe do a chat on camera.

EMOTIONAL ROLLERCOASTER

Winning a Logie can send even the most cool, calm and collected star through a whole series of emotions. This year dual Logie winner, Samuel Johnson experienced it all, with tears, laughter and plenty of smiles as he celebrated his big wins.

CAST PHOTOS

There’s no denying that getting dressed up is the best thing about the Logies so it doesn’t take long for some of the bigger casts to head to the media room for a happy snap.

The crew from A Place To Call Home lapped up the attention after winning Most Outstanding Drama.

CROSS NETWORK CATCH UPS

There are so many big stars milling about in the media room waiting for their photo or interviews so it’s inevitable that talent from different networks will bump into each other. It’s a good chance for rival networks to put their differences aside – for one night only. This year The Project celebrated in the TV WEEK room with crew from The Footy Show.

BLUNT TRUTH

Fresh from turning up the heat on the TV WEEK Logie Awards stage, James Blunt swung by the backstage area for a chat.

Despite only being in town for one night the UK singer was determined to have as much fun as possible, declaring himself a “gatecrasher.”

Blunt also maintained he ‘wasn’t going to have a nap’ instead choosing to kick on at the Channel Nine after-party.
