He should have been competing in Australian Ninja Warrior, but Johann Ofner was accidentally killed by a gunshot earlier this year while filming a music video for Aussie hip-hop group Bliss n Eso.

In memory of the stuntman and carpenter, the show screened a dedication to the 28-year-old in Sunday night’s episode rather than show his run in the obstacle course.

“We have the utmost respect for Johann and his involvement in Ninja Warrior and we want to honour his memory in the most appropriate way,” a spokesperson said.

But last night viewers were shocked to see Johann Ofner’s name appear on the scoreboard.

The leader board showed that the father-of-one was sitting at the fifth position at one point during the night.

This means that Johann would have made it into the semi-finals. According to the board, Johann had failed on the pole grasper.

Johann Ofner came be seen sitting in number 5 on the leader board.

During Sunday night’s telecast, Channel Nine showed a photo of Johann, presumably on the Ninja Warrior course, alongside the words “Dedicated to the life of Johann Ofner 1988-2017”.

The terrible incident of Johann’s death occurred in January this year when firearms were being discharged as part of the production of a Bliss n Eso film clip.

“As a result of the use of those firearms, one of the actors has received a wound to the chest and subsequently died from his injuries,” Detective Inspector Tom Armitt said to the public at the time of the shooting.

Johan, who was a stunt man and carpenter, left behind a girlfriend and a daughter, Kyarna.
