With their first child, Arabella, yet to celebrate her first birthday, Adam Dovile, 34, and wife Lisa are bracing themselves for the arrival of bub number two a little earlier than planned.

“The gap will only be about 14 or 15 months,” the Better Homes And Gardens presenter revealed to TV WEEK.

“We’re a little bit nervous to have two so close together – we thought it might have taken a little bit longer to get pregnant.”

While the short time frame took the couple by surprise, Adam is thrilled to add another family member to their growing brood.

“Arabella’s absolutely gorgeous and we wanted to have kids close together in age, so it’s all good,” he said. “I said to Lisa when we found out, ‘Many before us have done it, so I’m sure we’ll make it through.’ We’re very excited.”

Since winning House Rules in 2014, Adam and Lisa’s lives haven’t been the same.

Shortly after the finale, they exchanged vows in front of family and friends at a gorgeous estate in Victoria. Then, the builder scored his dream role as a presenter on Better Homes And Gardens.

If that wasn’t enough to take in, the couple then announced they were expecting. Oh, and Adam won the Logie for Best New Talent in 2016. Talk about a jam-packed schedule!

Fortunately, Adam managed to find time to support his TV family again at this year’s TV WEEK Logie Awards. The cast of Better Homes and Gardens were nominated for Best Lifestyle Program.

With flashing lights, screaming fans and a chock-a-block room full of celebrities, Adam jokingly agreed that having two babies might be easier than walking the red carpet.

“That’s exactly right!” he laughs. “[But], it’s good.”

Adam attended the 59th TV WEEK Logie Awards with the Better Homes and Gardens team.
