James Bond will get married and settle down in the next film, leaked plot details reveal

Action flick to… chick flick?
James Bond, Daniel Craig

Daniel Craig’s fifth film in the ‘James Bond’ franchise is set to take an unexpected (and positively romantic) turn, according to recently leaked plot details.

Speaking with Page Six, an anonymous source close to the production has claimed that “Bond quits the secret service, and he’s in love and gets married.”

But it doesn’t last long…

The source continues that, sadly, “his wife then gets killed,” which brings the super-spy back into action.

The alleged plot leak comes just weeks after Daniel Craig announced that he would be reprise his role as James Bond in the upcoming, and as yet untitled, 25th Bond film.

“I have been quite cagey about it. I have been doing interviews all day and people have been asking me and I think I’ve been rather coy,” the 49-year-old said on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

“But kind of felt like if I was going to speak the truth I should speak truth to you.”

When asked point-blank by the talk show host whether he could deliver some “good news” about returning to the super-spy role, the actor finally replied: “Yes.”

“I think this is it,” he continued. “I just want to go out on a high note. I can’t wait.”

The announcement marks a significant change of mindset — after all, the British-native once said he would rather take his own life than reprise his role as 007.

“I’m over it at the moment. We’re done. All I want to do is move on,” he said, adding: “If I did another Bond movie, it would only be for the money.”

Daniel Craig will reprise his role as James Bond in the upcoming, and as yet untitled, 25th Bond film.

But explaining his reckless comments, Daniel told Stephen that they had been made in recklessly, two days after Spectre had finished shooting.

“Instead of saying something with style and grace, I said something really stupid,” he said.

“There’s no point making excuses about it, but it was two days after I had finished shooting the last movie and I went straight to an interview where someone asked, ‘Would you do another one?’ and I went, ‘No!’”

The next James Bond film is slated for release in November 2019.
