Sinead O’Connor found safe after distressing Facebook post

I am not at home, I’m at a hotel, somewhere in Ireland, under another name.

Singer Sinead O’Connor has been found safe after posting a distressing suicidal note on her Facebook page.

Sinead told fans she had been “howling crying for weeks” and nobody seemed to care.

“I could have been dead here for weeks already and they’d never have known,” she wrote, of her family.

“Because apparently I’m scum and deserve to be abandoned and treated like sh-t … I’m such a rotten horrible mother and person, that I’ve been (left) alone.”

She said she had “taken an overdose. There is no other way to get respect. I am not at home, I’m at a hotel, somewhere in Ireland, under another name. If I wasn’t posting this, my kids and family wouldn’t even find out.”

Sinead is engaged in a number of battles with her family, and has recently suffered ill-health, and financial problems. She was located, and is now receiving medical treatment.
