Shailene Woodley has a confusing mixed message for TV lovers, which she shared on the red carpet of TV’s biggest award show

The Big Little Lies star was asked for a statement on the 69th Emmy Award Show red carpet, to which she responded:

“Friends, who watch TV, I always ask them — when do they have time to? When do people have time to?” Woodley asked. “I’m a reader, so I always read a book instead of checking out my TV.”

We get it, Shailene.

You’re an amazing actress and a Hippie Chick, and yeah, mostly it’s quirky and charming.

But this little red carpet faux pas has really rubbed people the wrong way.

Of course, Twitter reacted accordingly.

We’re sending love to Shailene and her cast mates who include Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon.

Mind you if she does win, she’ll probably have to wait and read about it in the paper in a few days.
