“I don’t know what her issue is…” The feud between Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall continues

Don’t hold your breath for a third flick.

Looks like Sex and the City fans will have to stick to re-runs because the third and final movie has been axed thanks to a nasty fight between two of the series’ lead stars.

They played besties Carrie Bradshaw and Samantha Jones on the hit show but in real life, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall aren’t going to be sipping cosmos together anytime soon.

The former co-stars reportedly had a, er, Big falling out during the show’s final season due to pay differences.

They played besties on screen but in real life they are far from it.

And their bad blood also allegedly caused delays in production of the two Sex and the City films.

Now, the rift is preventing the third film from happening. Like forever!

In an interview with Extra SJP confirmed that Sex and the City 3 is dead in the water, revealing: “It’s over. We’re not doing it. I’m disappointed. We had this beautiful, funny, heartbreaking, joyful, very relatable script and story.”

“It’s not just disappointing that we don’t get to tell that story and have that experience, but more so for that audience that has been so vocal in wanting a third movie,” she continued.

But according to Kim Catrall, there are two sides to this sizzling story.

As reported by Vanity Fair, in a new interview with Piers Morgan, Kim decided to talk about the drama, and clarify that she has never made any crazy demands. She also said she’s been saying no to doing a third Sex and the City film for quite some time.

Kim says, back in December she got a phone call about the potential third film. “The answer was simply, ‘Thank you, but no, I’m good,'” Kim told Morgan.

However, producers allegedly didn’t give up. Kim says they contacted her again months later. “And I thought to myself, I already know the answer.”

“It’s quite extraordinary to get any kind of negative press about something that I’ve been saying for almost a year of ‘no,’ that I’m demanding or a diva,” Kim said. “And this is really where I take to task the people from Sex and the City, and specifically Sarah Jessica Parker, in that I think she could have been nicer.”

That last bit must have really stung, because then she repeated it: “I really think she could have been nicer.”

The actress then vaguely addressed the swirling rumors about her friendship (or lack of) with SJP: “I don’t know what her issue is, I never have.”

Ouch!

We won’t be seeing our fave four back together.

Previous reports claimed that Kim shut down production due to her diva demands.

“The only reason this movie isn’t being made is because of Kim Cattrall,” sources told Daily Mail TV.

“Kim had the audacity to tell Warner Bros that she would only do this if they made other movies she had in development. Ridiculous.”

But Kim hit back at the accusations on Twitter, revealing that she “didn’t want to do a third film.”

But could, her feud with SJP be to blame?

Meanwhile Kristin Davis, who played Charlotte York, took to Instagram to share her disappointment. “It is true that we are not going to be able to make a 3rd film,” she wrote.

“I wish that we could have made the final chapter, on our own terms, to complete the stories of our characters. It is deeply frustrating not to able to share that chapter (beautifully written by [Sex and the City creator Michael Patrick King]) with all of you. So we will just have our memories.”
