But as the stunning Aussie actress explains, she just loves.. well, love!
“Isn’t [love] the essence of everything? It can heal so many things. Good love, sweet love, kind love, gentle love, powerful love. There are so many different forms of love…” she tells InStyle magazine.
“I respond very well to being touched,” the 49-year-old admitted at a Times Talks promo event for her flick Lion last year.
From co-stars to colleagues, it’s clear Nicole’s fond of a cuddle and isn’t afraid to show affection!
Nicole and hubby Keith are constantly putting their epic love on display, on red carpets the world over. “I’ve always chosen to have really deep, intense romantic relationships,” Nicole tells InStyle. “That’s who I am, and my mother’s always said it: ‘You’re just a child who attaches.'”
Nicole appeared transfixed on her The Beguiled co-star Kirsten Dunst, leaning in for a nuzzle at the premiere of the film in Cannes.
Continuing her up-close-and-personal approach on the Cannes Film Festival red carpet, Nic snuggled in to another The Beguiled co-star, Ella Fanning. “I suppose the basis of who I am is maternal,” Nic tells InStyle.
Nic and Colin Farrell got very close at the Cannes premieres of their two new films, The Killing of a Sacred Deer and The Beguiled.
“She gave me a lot of love on set, like she was my own mother,” Nic’s littlest Lion co-star Sunny Pawar tells MailOnline. “She’s very affectionate and very warm.”
