Nicole Kidman accepts award in pyjamas

The Grace of Monaco star wore silk pyjamas as she nabbed the award for Outstanding Contribution at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards overnight.

Nicole Kidman has accepted an award in her pyjamas.

The Grace of Monaco star couldn’t attend the Glamour Women of the Year Awards in London last night, but that didn’t stop her from accepting her award for Outstanding Contribution while miles away in Nashville.

Appearing via video link Kidman – who has pulled out of promoting her latest film due to illness – said she wasn’t feeling her best and the award would perk up her spirits.

“I’m sitting here in bed in Nashville, Tennessee, wishing I was there.

“I’m here in my pyjamas, silk pyjamas, but they are pyjamas.”

“I really don’t feel like I deserve it right now so it’s probably the nicest time to get something like this,” she added.

Nicole has had a tough few weeks with critics slamming her latest project where she played Grace Kelly in the widely anticipated Grace of Monaco – a film which deeply upset the late Princess’ children.

However the actress seemed to brush off the controversy and went on to praise her fellow nominee Helen Mirren for constantly “exuding sexiness and confidence”.
