Lamar Odom has made his first official appearance after his near-death accident.
The former NBA player joined his estranged wife, Khloe Kardashian, and members of the Kardashian-Jenner family for Kanye West's Yeezy Season 3 Fashion Week show at Madison Square Garden.
The picture of good health, Lamar wore a green military jacket as he walked behind Kanye after the rest of the family filed in, before sitting next to Khloe.
Backstage, he happily posed with Khloe and her family, including Caitlyn Jenner, Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner, Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian.
"Khloe and Lamar made the decision together to fly to N.Y.C. It's a fun trip for Lamar. They both seemed excited. Khloé will make sure that he is taken care of," a source told People.
The pair flew in together on a private plane on Wednesday evening.
Us Weekly's Entertainment Director Ian Drew was inside MSG at the time and revealed that the entire arena erupted in cheers as when they saw Kanye with Lamar.
During the night, the musician unveiled tracks from his upcoming album, T.L.O.P., and onlookers observed that Lamar was "clearly enjoying himself and nodding along to the rapper's work."
They added, "Throughout the entire spectacle, Lamar had a wide smile on his face."
"For Lamar, it's very important that he keeps regaining his old life. This will motivate him so he is able to keep focusing and work hard. Think of it as a reward. Flying on private jets across the country was his life before. Khloe is nothing but protective of Lamar. She would never jeopardize his health."
Adding "It's very exciting that Lamar is getting back into his old world. No one deserves it more."
The 36-year-old, who was hospitalised last October after being found unconscious in a Nevada brothel, has been making major headway in his recovery since his release from L.A.'s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in January.
"Lamar's recovery is remarkable. Even with all the sophisticated medical technology, it has been impossible to predict his outcome," an insider explained to the American publication.
"Lamar was in very, very bad shape. Both physically and cognitively. There is only that much help that someone can receive. In Lamar's case, it's very much his own physical strength and all of his hard work in therapy that has paid off. He also has the mind set of a professional athlete. He never once gave up."
While Khloe and the rest of the Kardashian's have been by Lamar's side, it was Kanye and his music that had such a instrumental role in his recovery.
North's dad revealed during the family's Thanksgiving 2015 dinner that he and Kim previewed his upcoming album to the former athlete earlier that day.
"I'm thankful that Lamar loved my album," Kanye proudly told the table at the time, while his wife added: "We did visit Lamar today, and we played him his new album. And then when I was done I said, ‘Did you like the music?' and he said, 'Loved it.' "
With Lamar striving towards a better future, nothing would make Kris Jenner happier than is he and her daughter patch things up, romantically speaking.
"I think it's no secret that that's probably right out there, written on my forehead or something," she told Entertainment Tonight.
"I always want my kids to have a happy ending. All of them. And I consider Lamar, he's one of my kids."
